Yesterday i tweeted that my dream team-up for an album would be Jay Electronica and Talib Kweli.
WELL WELL WELL… I didn’t realize, for some odd reason, that they’ve already worked together, which might have actually been the reason for my thinking they’d be awesome together. Anyway… Just Begun is a song that doesn’t just feature the brilliance of Talib and Mr. Electronica, but also brings in the wonders of J. Cole and Mos Def (with whom Talib made up Blackstar way back when) and is produced by Hi-Tek (as is every R.E. track). This is like the prelude to Kanye bringing in the heavy hitters for All Of The Lights basically.
I really want to hear more from Kweli and Jay Electronica together and if there was to be some more youth (Cole) and wisdom (Def) on the track, i’m sure i’d only love it more!
